4 Setting up the analysis

1. In the navigation bar, click 'Projects'
2. In the tree on the left, choose the project corresponding to this tutorial.
3. Finally, click the 'Add a new analysis' button.

 

1. We can name this analysis "stab-derivatives".
2. The analysis type must be "Stability derivatives (static)".
3. Set a velocity of 80 knots.
4. activate the three optional rotational simulations.

 

We must set the rotational values. For that we can use the "estimate" button, it will open popup windows in wich we can set the tail distance (4.3m) or the quarter-span (2m) to automatically evaluate a appropriate turn rate:
 
 
 
Finally:

1. check a rotational velocity was defined for each turning axis.
2. click the "Create" button.
