6 VLM analysis set-up

To model the aircraft in VLM, please refer to the Tutorial 2 where stability was studied on the same aircraft with VLM models. If you don't have the files of Tutorial 2 set up already, follow the first steps of tutorial 2 to set up a project, a geometry and a configuration to model this aircraft.
 

Then within the tutorial 2 project, add an analysis:

  1. Make sure you are within the project tab.
  2. Click the in the tree the line correspondign to Tutorial 2.
  3. Click the button to create a new analysis.
  4. Set an analysis name.
  5. The geometry of the tutorial should be set automatically
  6. Select the type : "Stability and control derivatives (static VLM)".
  7. The configuration should be set automatically.
  8. A parasite drag level can be set at CDmin = 0.03
  9. The velocity should be set at Mach = 0.12.
  10. Finally, click the create button.

The analysis will take a few minutes to run. The "Analysis set-up" tab will indicate the progress.
